Samsung Introduces Galaxy Tab S12 Series: The Ultimate Productivity Powerhouse Built for Growth

Hong Kong, 2 October 2026 — Samsung Electronics H.K. today announced the new Galaxy Tab S12 series, comprising the Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra and Galaxy Tab S12+, bringing the company's most powerful and versatile tablet experience to date. The series combines breakthrough performance, long battery life and the latest Galaxy AI within the signature ultra-slim Galaxy Tab design, simplifying workflows so users can get more done every day, whether building new skills, pursuing career goals or exploring creative passions.

Both models pair immersive displays with the ergonomically designed S Pen included in the box, making it easy to take notes and edit with precision. The Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra features a 14.6-inch screen, while the Galaxy Tab S12+ offers a larger 12.6-inch display than its predecessor within slimmer bezels. Both use Dynamic AMOLED 2X panels with peak brightness of up to 1,600 nits for crisp indoor and outdoor viewing, an upgraded seamless Vision Booster that adapts brightness to ambient light in real time, and four-channel spatial sound with double the channels of the previous generation.

The Galaxy Tab S12 series delivers the most powerful performance in Galaxy Tab history within the thinnest chassis yet: at just 5.1 mm, the Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra is the slimmest Galaxy Tab Samsung has made. Compared with the Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra, the new 3nm processor raises NPU processing speed by up to 61 per cent, CPU performance by 19 per cent and GPU performance by 17 per cent, while a newly designed 3D Vapor Chamber keeps performance stable through sustained heavy workloads. The series carries an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance, and battery life stretches to up to 23 hours on the Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra and 21 hours on the Tab S12+, with a 45W charger bringing the tablet from zero to 100 per cent in around 95 minutes.

Running Android 17 with One UI 9 and the latest Galaxy AI, the series turns the wide display into a flexible workspace: Multi Window splits the screen into up to three panes — for example, taking notes in Samsung Notes on one side while a lecture plays on the other alongside an AI assistant, with Note Assist summarising key points without interrupting playback. Each tablet ships with six months of Google AI Pro, giving broad access to Google's most capable AI models from day one, while Samsung Browser keeps past research at hand, organising open pages and surfacing related sources from days earlier.

The series also gives users a platform to put new skills into practice with professional-grade apps and additional perks worth around HK$3,596. Adobe Photoshop is preloaded for the first time on an Android tablet, with an interface adapted for tablets and S Pen support, alongside AI-driven tools such as Generative Fill and Image to Video powered by Adobe Firefly; Galaxy Tab S12 users enjoy four months of the Photoshop mobile plan free. For a more organised professional workstation, the Pro Keyboard pairs a premium aluminium look with a dedicated Galaxy AI key for instant access to AI assistants, while the slim book cover keyboard offers greater flexibility and a comfortable viewing angle for effortless typing.
