Samsung Brings One UI 9 to Hong Kong Galaxy Users

HONG KONG, 24 September 2026 — Samsung Electronics has announced that One UI 9 will expand to more Galaxy devices from September, beginning with the Galaxy S26, S26+ and S26 Ultra. Following its debut on the Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra, Z Fold8 and Z Flip8, the update brings a simpler, more seamless mobile experience across form factors, together with Galaxy AI features that are richer, more personal and more helpful.

My FanCam automatically tracks a selected person in a recorded video and keeps them centred, intelligently reframing the footage as the scene changes. Whether it is a child's performance, a friend on the dance floor or a key moment in a sporting event, users can turn dynamic footage into social-ready content with far less manual editing.

Now Brief gains generative, editable cards that let users choose what appears in their daily summaries, with cards for health, weather and video so each brief reflects the information that matters most to them. Warranty and Care brings device support directly into Settings: users can check warranty coverage across connected devices, run self-diagnostics, view repair estimates and manage Samsung Care+ or book a service in a few taps.

Elsewhere, Now Nudge surfaces context-aware suggestions without breaking the user's flow, Creative Studio suggests image-generation ideas around upcoming events, Interpreter adds a new Thread View with faster Conversation Mode translation and quicker Galaxy Buds playback, Document Scan handles curved pages and corner-folded papers with an improved Finger Eraser, and Voice Recorder presents summaries in a clearer, more structured format with headings and tables.

On security and privacy, Security Brief consolidates key alerts such as malware warnings, apps from unknown sources and unnecessary permissions into Now Brief, while Privacy Alerts use on-device AI to flag potential privacy risks, including apps attempting to obtain unnecessary permissions in the background — keeping transparency, choice and control at the centre of the experience.
