ROLEX SAILGP CHAMPIONSHIP: FORGING AHEAD

Geneva, Summer 2026 — Rolex has supported yachting since partnering with the New York Yacht Club in 1958. As Title Partner of the Rolex SailGP Championship, it is helping drive the sport’s development across competition, sustainability and diversity. Having supported the league as Founding Partner and Official Timepiece since 2019, Rolex shares its ambition to create a new future for teams, athletes and sailing enthusiasts worldwide.

The 2026 season brings high-speed racing to iconic waters across five continents, with 13 national teams competing in identical F50 hydrofoiling catamarans.

Rolex Testimonee and legendary sailor Sir Ben Ainslie, who has competed at the pinnacle of yachting for more than three decades, serves as Chief Executive Officer of the Emirates GBR SailGP Team. He describes SailGP as a combination of elite competition and a commitment to a better future.

The event puts national teams in identical boats capable of exceeding 100 kilometres per hour, producing close competition in which timing, teamwork and tactical decisions are decisive.

SailGP launched the Impact League in 2021, recognising teams for achievements in sustainability and social responsibility alongside results on the water. The championship also requires every team to race with a female athlete, while programmes including SailGP Inspire and Women’s Performance Pathway aim to broaden access and opportunity.

From six teams in its inaugural 2019 season, the championship has expanded to 13 national teams in 2026. Hong Kong and Rome are expected to join the calendar as host cities in 2027.
