The All-New Mercedes-Benz Electric GLC Launches in Hong Kong
By JiangMarket News

For many years, the GLC has been the most popular model from Mercedes-Benz, repeatedly topping the charts as the brand's bestseller worldwide. The all-new electric Mercedes-Benz GLC marks a turning point in the midsize segment, and has been crowned 'German Premium Car of the Year 2027' by the renowned jury of the German Car of the Year (GCOTY) Awards, recognising its exceptionally well-rounded overall concept and its balanced and comfortable driving character.

Built electric-first, the GLC excels in performance, range, efficiency and charging speed, while setting new class standards for design, value, versatility and space, offering even more legroom and headroom than its conventionally powered siblings. The 800-volt architecture can add up to 303 kilometres of range in just ten minutes, and a One-Box braking system recuperates energy in over 99 percent of everyday braking events, with four recuperation levels up to 300 kW.

Greeting customers as they step inside is the stunning optional seamless MBUX HYPERSCREEN. At 39.1 inches, it is the largest screen in a Mercedes-Benz to date, paired with standard ambient lighting and the optional SKY CONTROL panoramic roof, which can illuminate 162 stars in the night sky. A Burmester 3D sound system is standard, with grilles made of stainless steel. Powered by the AI-driven MB.OS supercomputer, the fourth-generation MBUX learns driver preferences and interacts naturally with occupants.

Space is generous: with a wheelbase 84 mm longer than the combustion GLC, the boot offers 570 litres, expanding to 1,740 litres with the rear seats folded, plus a 128-litre frunk. On the road, optional S-Class-derived AIRMATIC air suspension with up to 4.5 degrees of rear-axle steering balances long-distance comfort and agility, while the GLC 400 4MATIC adds TERRAIN MODE and a 'transparent bonnet' function for everyday adventures.

At market launch, the top-of-the-range GLC 400 4MATIC delivers 360 kW with up to 715 kilometres of range. The all-new all-electric GLC is on display at ELEMENTS 1/F Metal Zone from 22 to 30 October, with prices starting from HK$749,000.
