Louis Erard x Konstantin Chaykin Unfrogettable: The Frog Returns in Turquoise and Brown
By Anna LamMarket News

Le Noirmont, 21 September 2026 — The frog is back. Louis Erard and Konstantin Chaykin bring back their unmistakable creature in two new expressions: Turquoise, bright and electric; and Brown, warm, earthy and touched with gold. Same stare, same mechanical mischief — two entirely different moods. Each colourway is limited to 178 pieces.

The horizontal regulator display brings the creature to life: the hours sit at 9 o'clock, the seconds at 3 o'clock, and an arrow-shaped minute hand crosses the centre. The rotating eyes tell the time, and at 6 o'clock sits a love note hidden in plain sight: Louis Erard ♥ Konstantin Chaykin.
Turquoise glows cool and sharp — a light grained base, deep blue-green counters and a two-tone minutes ring, with rhodium-toned discs and hands and green luminescent details for night vision. Brown changes the temperature: a light brown grained base meets dark brown counters and an ochre-toned ring, while 5N-treated discs, hand and crown bring a warm metallic flash.

The 40 mm case is sculpted from Grade 5 titanium, alternating satin-finished planes and polished curves. At 12 o'clock, the winding crown becomes an actual crown — polished titanium for Turquoise, warm PVD 5N for Brown. Both come on Himeji Kurozan black diamond leather from a historic Japanese tannery: hand-rubbed, naturally tanned and finished with traditional Urushi lacquer, drawing on the craft of samurai armour.

"The Unfrogettable has become an unmistakable character. You recognize it immediately: the eyes, the crown, the expression. That gave us the freedom to change its mood through colour. Turquoise is bright, electric and slightly surreal. Brown is warmer, deeper and more nocturnal. The frog remains the same. Its personality does not," says Manuel Emch.

Recommended retail price: CHF 4,500 excluding tax. Crafted in Le Noirmont — regulators since 1929, rebirthing legends with Chaykin since 2023.
