Jaeger-LeCoultre Introduces Master Hybris Artistica Calibre 945

Hong Kong, 18 September 2026 — Jaeger-LeCoultre presents an artistic reinterpretation of the Master Hybris Artistica Minute Repeater Cosmotourbillon in 18K white gold, offered in a limited edition of five pieces. First created in 2010, Calibre 945 unites a minute repeater with a real-time star chart of the Northern Hemisphere and the Maison's unique flying Cosmotourbillon, which displays sidereal time.

The dial showcases the skills of the Manufacture's Métiers Rares™ atelier. To recreate the night sky, Jaeger-LeCoultre turned to grisaille enamel — a demanding 16th-century French technique introduced into its repertoire in 2022 — painting the constellations by hand in Blanc de Limoges white enamel over successive fired layers of deep blue, with 24 hours of work required. Beneath the domed gold dial, a midnight-blue disc carries the months and tourbillon seconds indications.

The Cosmotourbillon elevates the tourbillon beyond its technical function: a celestial flying 60-second tourbillon of 73 components in a lightweight titanium carriage, it orbits the dial once per sidereal day — 23 hours, 56 minutes and 4 seconds — in harmony with the star chart, which tracks the constellations as seen from the Vallée de Joux, the Maison's home since 1833. Mounted on lubricant-free ceramic ball bearings, its 10-millimetre monometallic balance wheel beats at 4 Hz.

The chimes come from Jaeger-LeCoultre's patented minute repeater inventions, including Cathedral crystal gongs wrapped 1.5 times around the calibre and fixed to the rear sapphire crystal for maximum resonance, patented Trébuchet hammers and a patented silent governor. The 45 mm white gold case comprises more than 80 parts, with all functions set via the crown, on a blue alligator strap matched to the dial.
