HARRY WINSTON BLING BALL: BASEBALL, REIMAGINED IN WHITE GOLD

HARRY WINSTON presents the Bling Ball, a new timepiece in its Winston Moments Collection, characterised by a distinctive, highly original and unprecedented design inspired by the sport of baseball. With its sculptural presence and imaginative details, the watch reflects the House's talent for reimagining form with volume and sophistication.

The new Bling Ball moves beyond the familiar codes of sports watches, revealing an intrepid personality and surprising details. Inspired by baseball — often described as America's national pastime — the sport is more than a game: it is an entrenched tradition passed down through generations. This spirit runs through the watch's every detail, conceived as a sculptural object offering a bird's-eye view of a baseball diamond, with its four bases and carefully orchestrated elements evoking the excitement of the game. A timepiece for collectors who value sportsmanship and individuality, with a playful edge, it is a subtle reminder that, like a game unfolding inning by inning, time is not only to be measured but also enjoyed.

Playing with different heights, textures and volume, the concave dial architecture evokes the form of a miniature stadium. The sloping peripheral minute flange descends to meet a wide silver-coloured track composed of 24 segments. A nod to baseball's first, second and third bases, three-dimensional, globe-shaped hour markers immediately catch the eye, engraved with the numbers 15, 30 and 45 and finished with a sleek vertical satin-brushed finish. The centre features a raised chapter ring with blue, incised Arabic numerals, framing a recessed black sandblasted grille beneath the hands — a reference to the diamond-shaped geometry of baseball's infield. The dial juxtaposes finishes, from the lively circular brushing on the silver track to the mirror-polished bevels of the raised central ring, while HARRY WINSTON's signature navy blue features on the luminescent accents of the domed markers, the five-minute dots and the hour numerals. Occupying the position of the home plate at noon, the hallmark HW applique is set against a blue lacquered background, the whole scene protected by a pronounced domed sapphire crystal.

The luxurious 18-karat white gold case, measuring a relatively compact 40 mm in diameter, is ergonomically designed to sit comfortably on the wrist. Its 13.45 mm height — dictated by the domed hour markers — is offset by a play of sporty brushed surfaces and broad, mirror-polished bevels that accentuate the lugs' graceful downward curve. A wide polished bezel, punctuated by incisions at 12, 3, 6 and 9 o'clock, sweeps upward in a fluid arc in profile, lending the case a subtly asymmetric silhouette.

The timepiece is powered by a sophisticated automatic mechanical movement, Calibre HW2008, visible through the sapphire case back. The flat silicon balance spring improves long-term stability, performance and precision, resistant to magnetic and thermal fluctuations, with a robust 72-hour power reserve. The elegant, rounded bridges, decorated with traditional Côtes de Genève, can be admired through the skeletonised 18-karat white gold rotor. In another allusion to baseball, the profile of the gold rotor and the raised, polished accents on the crown are shaped like a catcher's helmet.

The Bling Ball is paired with a supple white calfskin leather strap with bright red topstitching — a detail inspired by the stitches found on baseballs — secured by an 18K white gold ardillon buckle bearing HARRY WINSTON's signature. In a final gesture to the sport, the timepiece is presented in an original baseball-shaped presentation box: the magnetised baseball rests on a stand shaped like a double first base, featuring red stitching and Mr. Winston's signature.
