ONE COMPLICATION, THREE PERSONALITIES: H. MOSER & CIE. UNVEILS A RETROGRADE SECONDS TRIO

ONE COMPLICATION. THREE PERSONALITIES.

Neuhausen am Rheinfall, October 7, 2026 – Following the success of the first Pioneer Retrograde Seconds, H. Moser & Cie. is presenting three new interpretations of the complication at once: the Pioneer Skeleton Retrograde Seconds, Endeavour Retrograde Seconds and Streamliner Retrograde Seconds. All three share the same display: a seconds hand that sweeps across an arc for 30 seconds before returning instantly to zero. Yet each gives it a personality of its own.

The 30-second retrograde display is the thread that connects this trio. H. Moser & Cie. brings this playful complication to life across three collections: technical in the Pioneer Skeleton Retrograde Seconds, contemporary in the Streamliner Retrograde Seconds and elegant in the Endeavour Retrograde Seconds. Together, the three watches turn the passage of time into a continuous spectacle.

TIME IN MOTION

Showcasing the essence of the complication, H. Moser & Cie. places the retrograde mechanism on the dial, inviting the wearer to observe it in action. A double snail cam enables the seconds hand to complete its journey in 30 seconds. At the end of each cycle, the snail, which is in permanent contact with the sector or finger, releases the energy accumulated and stored by a hairspring located under the seconds hand axis, with a stud holder mounted on the mainplate. The rack, which is also visible under the retrograde seconds bridge, positions the hand precisely on its path and releases the accumulated energy all at once, while keeping the mechanism under control. A two-tone disc beneath the snail indicates whether the watch is in the first or second 30-second period of the cycle, adding an extra touch of dynamism and visual appeal to the whole.

PIONEER SKELETON RETROGRADE SECONDS: MECHANICS LAID BARE

Fully skeletonised, the Pioneer Skeleton Retrograde Seconds plays with solid forms, open spaces and shifting perspectives. Within its 40 mm steel case, the bridges and wheels create a layered architecture. Their anthracite finish contrasts with the gold hands and hour markers. The retrograde hand's back-and-forth motion adds a rhythm of its own. Mechanics become material, volume and movement: a sculptural interpretation of the complication. Presented on a steel bracelet, the watch also comes with a khaki rubber strap.

STREAMLINER RETROGRADE SECONDS: MOVEMENT WITHIN MOVEMENT

With its Midnight Blue fumé dial, fluid case lines and integrated steel bracelet, the Streamliner Retrograde Seconds gives the complication a different expression. The display at 6 o'clock sits within an instantly recognisable silhouette. The hand's sudden return contrasts with the continuity of the curves, while the transparent lacquer logo leaves the dial free to speak for itself.

ENDEAVOUR RETROGRADE SECONDS: MECHANICS, WITH A LIGHT TOUCH

Housed in a 40 mm steel case, the Endeavour Retrograde Seconds retains the understated elegance of the collection. Its Blackor fumé dial plays with light and shade. At 6 o'clock, the retrograde mechanism adds a touch of boldness to the pared-back design. The transparent lacquer logo remains discreet, allowing the seconds hand to draw the eye without disturbing the watch's balance.

Three interpretations of the same display, each with a character and aesthetic of its own, for collectors drawn to innovation and refinement. Each can choose the one that speaks to them.
