H. Moser & Cie. Off-Grid: The Digital Watch for Watchmaking Enthusiasts

Neuhausen am Rheinfall, 21 September 2026 — Some watches tell the time; others are designed to measure, record and report everything. H. Moser & Cie.'s Off-Grid chooses a different path: the path of simplicity. After simplifying the perpetual calendar, erasing logos, removing indexes and reinventing the chronograph, the Schaffhausen-based Manufacture now opens a new arena — the digital watch, done the H. Moser way: not adding for the sake of adding, but removing. Distractions. The superfluous. Retaining only the essential.

Through its skeletonised dial, the Off-Grid reveals an unprecedented architecture in which digital technology naturally converses with traditional watchmaking. Above the screen sits a small domed dial — in Red fumé or Blackor fumé depending on the version — bearing the H. Moser & Cie. logo in transparent lacquer, while the digital display sits at 6 o'clock. Everything reflects its place in the Moser family: the depth of the fumé dial, the purity of the lines, the proportions of the case and the architecture of the Streamliner.

There is no avalanche of notifications, no race to optimal performance, no obsession with data. The Off-Grid is a companion for both everyday life and the unexpected: it sleeps when forgotten, then awakens once rediscovered, occasionally teasing its owner with a curious message. Its functions are selected to enhance the experience — a GMT with country selector for all time zones, a split-seconds chronograph displaying 1/100th of a second, a perpetual calendar, a perpetual moon phase updated every hour and programmed for the next 100 years, sunrise and sunset times, a vibrating alarm and timer, and an OFF-GRID travel mode with quick country selection and a dictionary of 10 words in 21 different languages. The calibre D10, developed with SEQUENT, offers more than a year of power reserve in time display-only mode.

The Off-Grid is neither a mechanical watch nor a smartwatch as we understand the term today: it moves between the two worlds, one foot in each, without fully belonging to either. Like all creations from the Moser Exploration LAB, it explores a new vision of watchmaking — free, unexpected and resolutely alive. Two versions are offered: reference 6DI0-1202 in steel with blue PVD treatment and Blackor fumé dial on an integrated white rubber strap, and reference 6DI0-1205 in steel with black PVD treatment and Red fumé dial on an integrated black rubber strap. Each is limited to 1,000 pieces, at a retail price of HKD 37,500.

Available exclusively in H. Moser & Cie. boutiques and at h-moser.com, the Off-Grid will initially be offered to existing clients from 21 to 23 September, before gradually becoming available to the entire Moser community from 24 September. This edition will only be available until 5 October — because, ultimately, true freedom may not come from staying connected, but rather from staying connected to the essential.
