CZAPEK RETURNS TO ITS GENEVA ROOTS WITH A NEW FLAGSHIP AND TWO NEW WATCHES

Czapek & Cie returns to its historic Geneva roots with a new flagship boutique at Quai des Bergues 27, the site where François Czapek helped shape the city’s early watchmaking story. Opened to the public in July 2026, the boutique marks a homecoming for the independent Maison.

To coincide with the opening and Geneva Watch Days, Czapek presents two creations: the Quai des Bergues “Midnight in Geneva” in a new 40.5 mm stainless-steel case, and the Place Vendôme Complicité Glacier Blue, a 10-piece platinum edition born from the friendship between CEO Xavier de Roquemaurel and master watchmaker Bernhard Lederer.

The new Midnight in Geneva revisits the limited edition that accompanied Czapek’s first modern Geneva boutique in 2019. Its deep-blue aventurine dial, curved case and proprietary hand-wound movement return in the smaller 40.5 mm format, with the recessed sub-dials built into the dial architecture to preserve the fragile aventurine surface. The edition is limited to 18 pieces.

Place Vendôme Complicité Glacier Blue continues the dialogue between two independent watch creators. Its light-blue grainé plate frames two balance wheels beating in opposite directions, linked by a differential at 12 o’clock. The platinum edition is limited to 10 pieces and combines technical complexity with the hand-finishing expected from Czapek’s haute horlogerie.

Together, the boutique and the two new watches look back to Czapek’s Geneva origins without turning them into a museum piece. The Maison’s return to Quai des Bergues is a statement that independent watchmaking can honour its past while continuing to build forward.
