Geneva, 16 September 2026 — Czapek & Cie unveils the Promenade L'Écume des Jours, a new timepiece that takes its name and its spirit from Boris Vian's 1947 novel, one of the most singular voices in French literature. A novelist, jazz trumpeter and engineer who wrote as if anything were possible, Vian is the muse for this new piece, limited to 18 examples.

Beneath the dial beats the in-house Calibre SXH5.1, wound by a micro-rotor in recycled platinum, with bridges shaped after François Czapek's own 19th-century pocket watches. Visible through the sapphire caseback, it runs at 4 Hz on a variable-inertia balance with four gold weights and holds a 60-hour power reserve from a single barrel.

The Promenade L'Écume des Jours is limited to 18 pieces.
