CARL SUCHY & SÖHNE TABLE WALTZ TOURBILLON MIRROR EDITION NOMINATED FOR GPHG 2026
By Anna LamMarket News

Carl Suchy & Söhne’s Table Waltz Tourbillon Mirror Edition has been officially nominated by the Academy of the Grand Prix d’Horlogerie de Genève for the 2026 edition, in the Mechanical Clock category. The recognition places the Viennese independent among the year’s most closely watched horological creations.

Created in collaboration with Piano Chow, founder of The Lavish Attic, the table clock was designed by Rainer Mutsch and engineered by master watchmaker Therese Wibmer. Crafted entirely in Austria, it brings together Viennese modernism, mechanical ingenuity and a deliberately different sense of time.

Its nomination is also a milestone for the Table Waltz collection, which treats the traditional table clock as an object of design as much as a mechanical instrument. The Mirror Edition reflects Carl Suchy & Söhne’s belief that contemporary horology can be precise, expressive and rooted in a distinct cultural identity.

The nominated work will be presented at the GPHG exhibition at Geneva’s Musée d’Art et d’Histoire from 30 October to 15 November 2026. The awards ceremony will take place on 7 November, when the Mechanical Clock category winner will be announced.
