Bentley Torcal First Edition: The Curated Version, 888 PS and All
By PingMarket News

Bentley has built a launch specification for the Torcal, and it is a study in restraint rather than excess. The First Edition is not a longer options list. It is the opposite: a set of choices the Crewe engineers and designers have already made, bundled as standard, so the car arrives finished rather than configured.
The mechanical brief is the top of the Torcal range. 888 PS and 1,350 Nm, 0 to 60 mph in 2.8 seconds, 100 km/h in 2.9, and a 260 km/h ceiling. No new engine, no extra boost, just the strongest Torcal powertrain with everything around it brought up to match.

The visual signature is the wheel: a 22-inch First Edition design in gloss black with Liquid Silver spokes and self-levelling Bentley badges, so the winged B stays upright as the wheel turns. Black callipers sit behind it, and a First Edition badge on the front fender is the only other outward clue. It is deliberately quiet signalling.

Inside, illuminated treadplates carry the First Edition name at the sill, and the Colour Specification opens up splits and combinations beyond the standard Torcal palette. Full leather with contrast stitching is offered, and Open Pore Crown Cut Walnut is fitted as standard, with alternatives available for anyone who wants them.

The equipment list is where the curation shows. Powered front and rear doors, the Frosted Diamond switchable sunroof, and the Naim for Bentley system: 1,780 watts across 28 speakers, with seat transducers, front headrest speakers and Dolby Atmos 7.1.4. Wellness front seats are standard; the Rear Comfort Seat Specification, with ventilation and comfort headrests for the outer rear seats, is optional.

Two of those features are new to the Torcal itself rather than borrowed from elsewhere in the range: the powered doors and the switchable frosted roof. Both are the sort of thing that reads as a gimmick on paper and as a genuine change to the arrival ritual in person, which is presumably why Bentley has made them the centre of this specification rather than burying them in a pack.
Bentley has not announced pricing for the First Edition, and it has not said how many will be built. What it has said, plainly, is that the Torcal is now a complete car rather than a new platform finding its feet.
