Bentley Torcal: Built in Crewe

Crewe, 17 September 2026 — Bentley Motors has revealed that its all-new Torcal will be designed, engineered and handcrafted at the marque’s historic headquarters in Crewe, England. The new model line will become Bentley’s fourth, extending an 80-year tradition of creating every new Bentley at the site.

The Torcal will be built by hand on a new production line created inside an original 1938 factory building. The former machining shop and later research-and-development workshop has been transformed with a precisely level floor and autonomous guided vehicles to move cars through the production process.

The facility forms part of Bentley’s more than £350 million self-funded investment in its Crewe home, including a new paint shop and a wider programme to renew the factory site. The project brings generations of craftsmanship together with advanced technologies as Bentley prepares its most forward-looking vehicle yet.

The Torcal will also benefit from the skills of Bentley’s British supplier network, including Somerset-based Fox Brothers, which supplies the wool used in its interior. The project reflects the breadth of the Crewe operation — from developing a new electric car to building the V8-powered, rear-wheel-drive Supersports and creating hand-beaten continuation cars through Mulliner.

One of the first beneficiaries of Bentley’s new Design Studio in Crewe, the Torcal joins a new generation of projects developed in a facility opened in 2025. More than 4,000 people work across Bentley’s 521,111-square-metre site, which includes 166,930 square metres of indoor space.

The all-new Bentley Torcal will be revealed at 19:19 on 23 September 2026, marking the beginning of a new chapter in the story of Bentley’s Crewe home.
