A. LANGE & SÖHNE PRESENTS THE NEW TRIPLE SPLIT AND 1815 UP/DOWN

Dedicated to creating meticulously crafted, exquisite timepieces with the aspiration to never stand still, the German high-end watchmaker A. Lange & Söhne proudly presents two new models: TRIPLE SPLIT in 950 platinum, limited to 100 pieces, and special editions of 1815 UP/DOWN in 750 pink and white gold, each limited to 300 pieces. From 17 to 21 September 2026, watch connoisseurs are cordially invited to visit the "Challenging Chronographs" Exhibition, in which they will admire a curated collection of chronographs that exemplify the refined aesthetics and precision timekeeping feats of Saxon watchmaking artistry.

TRIPLE SPLIT. As the only split-seconds chronograph from A. Lange & Söhne capable of measuring intermediate, comparative and overall times for as long as twelve hours – and endowed with a flyback function – TRIPLE SPLIT stands out in the field of mechanical chronographs. Limited to 100 pieces only, the new TRIPLE SPLIT features a platinum case and a rhodié-coloured dial. The lucidly structured dial showcases a well-balanced hierarchy of displays. The grey auxiliary dials, the luminous hour and minute hands, the blued rattrapante hands alongside the red accents in the section housing the hour and minute counters as well as the UP/DOWN display create a harmonious interplay of contrast, functionality and technical aesthetics. Emblematic of the brand's mastery in chronograph construction, the L132.1 manufacture calibre accommodates the one-of-a-kind triple rattrapante mechanism, assuring that the three chronograph hands and three rattrapante hands accurately perform their respective functions of starting, stopping, catching up and resetting to zero. The patented disengagement mechanism ensures that sufficient power can be continuously delivered to the oscillation system to guarantee precise rate stability. The sapphire-crystal caseback offers wearers a glimpse of the complex chronograph movement, elaborately finished with stunning decorative handcrafts.

1815 UP/DOWN. Limited to 300 pieces each, two new special editions in 750 pink and white gold expand the 1815 UP/DOWN collection, spotlighting its signature UP/DOWN power-reserve indicator – the AB (DOWN) marker represents the unwound movement, whereas AUF (UP) indicates the fully wound movement which provides a maximum power reserve of 72 hours. From the railway-track minute scale, the easily legible Arabic numerals to the recessed central dial segment, these elegant design elements evoke memories of historic Lange pocket watches. The compact case diameter of 37.5 millimetres and a height of only 8.7 millimetres enable well-balanced proportions. Framed by a slender, subtly tiered bezel, the blue dial creates a captivating contrast with the argenté-coloured auxiliary dials of the UP/DOWN power-reserve indicator and the subsidiary seconds dial with its blued hands, alongside the lancet-shaped hour and minute hands. The sapphire-crystal caseback reveals the mechanical beauty of the manually wound L051.2 manufacture calibre, showcasing signature elements such as the traditional three-quarter plate made of untreated German silver, the visibly integrated winding wheels embellished with solarisation as well as the seven gold chatons secured by blued screws.

The A. Lange & Söhne chronographs are arguably among the most coveted in the world. Apart from their precision and mechanical intricacy, they enthral in particular because of the exceptional artisanal artistry. The "Challenging Chronographs" Exhibition invites visitors to embark on a new journey of measuring time. On display for appreciation at close-up are horological masterpieces that unite time measurement with elegant design, including the DATOGRAPH UP/DOWN, DOUBLE SPLIT, and TRIPLE SPLIT, alongside iconic timepieces from the six families that embody extraordinary artistry of the watchmaker, namely LANGE 1, ZEITWERK, SAXONIA, 1815, RICHARD LANGE, and ODYSSEUS. Interactive experiences and live engraving demonstrations by Lange's engraving masters complete the journey. The exhibition takes place at 11/F, H Queen's, 80 Queen's Road Central, Hong Kong, from 17 to 21 September 2026, by appointment.
